Wayne Dawkins grew up in Brooklyn and attended New Utrecht H.S. and Long Island U. He is the historian of the National Association of Black Journalists. Dawkins teaches multimedia journalism at Morgan State University in Baltimore. He is a Columbia University distinguished alumni.
